Every journey begins with a single step. Master Hien's began in the countryside of South Vietnam, where he was born and raised during a time of great uncertainty. Long before he became a spiritual teacher, author, or martial artist, he was a young man searching for understanding and purpose.
 

That path took an unexpected turn in 1967, during the Vietnam War. While serving as a combat interpreter with the United States Army Green Berets, Master Hien met the man he would come to know as his spiritual father. Under his guidance, he began his first system of spiritual training, rooted in traditions from India and Cambodia. What began during the war would become the foundation of a spiritual education that continued throughout much of his life.

His training did not end with one teacher or one tradition. After completing his first system seven years later, Master Hien continued seeking knowledge from experienced spiritual practitioners. In 1984, he began studying a Buddhist spiritual system originating from China, completing that training in 1995. He was also ordained as a Buddhist lay monk in 1993 by another teacher, from whom he learned a Vietnamese sorcery system that he completed in 2000. Years later, in 2010, he entered a third system of sorcery training under another Vietnamese spiritual practitioner, completing it in 2020.
 

These decades of study shaped the knowledge and experience he would eventually pass on to others. His path was never limited to spiritual training alone. He immersed himself in traditional martial arts, founded the Vietnam Kung Fu Lohan System, earned recognition as a World Grandmaster, became an ordained Buddhist lay monk, and completed a doctorate in education. Each part of his life contributed to the teacher he would become.

Today, after nearly six decades of study, practice, and teaching, Master Hien continues to dedicate his life to sharing the knowledge entrusted to him. Through his books, teachings, and personal guidance, he seeks to help others better understand spirituality, karma, the unseen world, and the challenges they encounter in their own lives. His purpose is not to tell others what they must believe, but to preserve what he has learned and make that knowledge available to those who sincerely seek it.
